Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program
Agam Syahrial is teaching Indonesian language and taking courses in language pedagogy and the relationsthip between language and culture at Columbia University. His areas of interest are in comparative language teaching methodologies and in development of teaching materials.
Agam holds a bachelor’s degree from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW), Salatiga, Central Java, majoring in English teaching (2013). He is currently an Indonesian language instructor for foreign students at the Language Training Center at UKSW.
Andrian Hartanto is teaching Indonesian language at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at John Hopkins University, Washington, DC. Andrian earned his bachelor’s degree in education at Atma Jaya Catholic University in 2012. He is currently employed as an English teacher at Wall Street English, Jakarta.
Aria Citra Kusuma
Aria Citra Kusuma is an FLTA at John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University where she is teaching Indonesian and taking courses in communications and international human rights.
Aria holds a bachelor’s degree in language education from Jakarta State University. She has many years of hands-on experience in helping students with different levels of English-language proficiency. She is currently teaching at Vista International Corporation, Jakarta, which helps students preparing to student abroad.
Dominicus Yabarmase is currently teaching Indonesian as an FLTA at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English teaching at Pattimura University, Ambon in 2013.
Intan Hamzah is currently a teaching assistant in Indonesian at Northern Illinois University, De Kalb, Illinois. She holds a BA degree in English teaching from University of Lampung, achieved in 2013.
She is an English instructor at Universitas Malahayati and SUN Education Lampung, Bandar Lampung. She hopes eventually to return to the US to pursue a master’s degree.
